GSRICFS conducted a symposium on Craniofacial Bone Anchored Titanium Implants and update on Ear Reconstruction with Silicone Prosthesis on November 18, 2006 with Prof. Dr. Srinath N., Maxillofacial surgeon and Prof. Dr. P. C. Jacob, Prosthodontist, as course directors. The symposium was attended by 26 plastic and maxillofacial surgeons from India.

GSRICFS conducted a symposium Planning and Executing an Orthognathic Surgery on November 19, 2006 with Prof. Dr. Kishore Nayak, Maxillofacial surgeon, Prof. Dr. Krishna Murthy, Maxillofacial surgeon, Prof. Dr. David Tauro, Maxillofacial surgeon, Prof. Dr. Rajasekhar, Orthodontist and Dr. Sherry Peter, Craniofacial surgeon, as course directors. The symposium was attended by 58 plastic and maxillofacial surgeons from India.

Dr. Srinivas Gosla Reddy delivered a Guest Lecture on Delaire’s philosophy of cleft palate repair at the 5th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies from March 22 to 25, 2006 in Guwahati, India.

Dr. Srinivas Gosla Reddy delivered a Guest Lecture on “The Receiving End” Fate of Funding for Cleft Lip and Palate in India at The International Cleft Lip Palate Conference 2006 from June 25 - 27, 2006 in Eastbourne

Dr. Srinivas Gosla Reddy delivered a Guest Lecture on “Evaluating, Diagnosing and Treating Cleft and Craniofacial Deformities” at the First International Congress of the African Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons September 20 to 22, 2006 in Cairo Egypt.

Dr. Srinivas Gosla Reddy was invited to attend the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Department of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital, Zurich from September 29 to October 1, 2006 where he delivered a lecture on “Pfeifer wave line incisions to treat scars of the face” At the clebrations Dr. Gosla interacted with Prof. Hugo Obwegeser, Prof. Emile Steinhauser and a whole lot of other stalwarts in the field of Maxillofacial and Craniofacial Surgery.

Discovery, a well known television channel from the US, filmed a documentary on the work of the Institute, The documentary was aired as a prime time telecast in the US on January 18, 2007

GSRICFS conducted a live workshop on Cleft and esthetic Rhinoplasty from February 24 – 25, 2007 with Mr. N. A. Nasser, Facial Plastic surgeon, UK and Dr. Nitin Mokal, Plastic Surgeon, India as Course Directors. The Symposium was attended by 54 national and international delegates from the fields of plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery.
