The Residents observership programme have been running successfully since 20years.
The overall goals are:
- To inculcate values of community, compassion, empathy, social service and dignity of labor in students.
- To empower students through leadership development
- To provide opportunities for action for students in a way that affirms their self-worth and builds their confidence and sense of responsibility
We get overwhelming response from more than 100 residents every year from different universities all over India for peripheral postings at our institute. The externship program offers the residents in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in the specialty of Cleft and craniofacial Surgery. The extern will be expected to participate in inpatient and operating room care, and the outpatient clinical management of patients. They will be involved not only in assisting surgical cases but will also take part in diagnosis and formulation of treatment plans.
